This helmet is hand-aged and hand-painted to look as if it were straight from the war
Due to the fact that it is all done by hand, there will be minor variations in the final product
– By 1943 the Wehrmacht was retreating on the East and Western Fronts
– In Italy, a Skillful Defense by hardened Fallschirmjager held back the Allies as they moved up the Italian “Boot”.
– The Italian landscape was mountains and valleys, very suitable for defense, and Kesselring created a series of defensive lines that the Allies smashed against with little success. The most notable was the defensive line around Cassino
– In the end, the Italian front never broke but surrendered voluntarily days before the official end of the war when it was evident that all was lost.
