Situated in Downtown Tampa Bay, Florida right next to the Cruise Ship Terminals sits a remarkable piece of WW2 History. The Victory Ship was a more modern version of the Liberty Ships, being faster and slightly larger then the Liberty ships. 531 Victory Ships were built from 1944 to 1946. The ships were designed and build with one purpose to get cargo to the front quickly. The Victory Ship in Tampa is very well maintained and the self guided tour is easy to follow.
