This scabbard has, hands down, the best price point for reproduction products. I paid much more for a scabbard for my Marlin 336 and it is not nearly the quality of leather or production.
This could be NOS in its attention to detail (as far as I can tell).
I bought this to hang off the passenger side of my 1953 M38A1 Willys Jeep. My Carbine fits in it like a hand in a glove. It’s so pretty that now I’m not sure if I want to hang it off the Willys where it will get dirty. Although my Willys is primarily for show, I know that if I take it off road or hit a bump there is no way the Carbine will be displaced in any way.
The quality is excellent, especially so when considering the price point. I suspect that the leather is the same weight as the original, however, the originals do feel thicker; this is probably due to being oiled over the years. Fit and finish are excellent.
LOL, I am not exactly sure what to do with all the straps, though.

The scabbard fit my carbine like a glove, the fit was so exact that the scabbard actually popped, when the carbine was inserted into place, even with the 15 round mag attached.
The leather wasn’t as heavy as the original that I own, but few reproduction leather items actually are!

Best price on the market!
The scabbard actually popped when the carbine found its proper place, even with its 15 rd. mag installed.
The leather isn’t as heavy as an original, but very serviceable indeed.
